Whats the difference between a structural stucco coat & a finish coat?
The amcorite Portland cement and sand Ferrocement structural coat is the first coating to be applied to your am-cor galvanized steel frame building shell upon completion of panel placement. This structural coat is mixed according to your am-cor Field Manual, and forced through the Carbon steel expanded metal mesh sheathing on the factory prefabricated am-cor steel frame panels. In forcing the amcorite mix through the small holes in the expanded metal you are unifying two compatible materials: cement and steel, to create a single composite structure. This unibody structural coat creates a seamless skin which joins all panels and steel frame members together into a single cemented piece. This action creates am-cor’s redundant, life saving structural shell. If your building’s exterior finish is a stucco surface, we call this the finish coat.
