Whats the difference between a static and dynamic IP address?
A static IP address is a number thats assigned to a computer by an Internet service provider to be its permanent address on the Internet. Dynamic IP addressing, or DHCP, provides a different IP address each time you connect to the Internet. Dynamic addresses are kept in a pool and are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
