Whats the difference between a Smiling Woods Yurt and canvas yurt?
Our homes are built with standard building materials; canvas yurts are basically a tent. We meet and exceed today’s building codes, they do not. Our yurts can be insulated to current industry energy-efficient standards; canvas yurts use a non-proven R-value product. We have insulated glass windows; they have vinyl windows that open from the outside. We are fully insurable and banks will finance our homes. Ultimately, we are everything and more that you look for in a conventional home; canvas yurts are an expensive tent.
