What’s the difference between a real-life cop and a TV show cop?
A TV cop has more fun, he gets paid more. He gets to kiss a girl too. The main difference, of course, is that a real cop makes a difference. He has to make decisions that are a matter of life and death. Real cops are underappreciated and underpaid. What’s the main difference between you and your character Angel on Dexter? He’s sweeter than I am. He trusts a lot more. But we’re also similar – we both enjoy life. We believe in love and loyalty. Your character Angel did get busted for soliciting a prostitute, right? You gotta find love somewhere. Dexter is great for a lot of reasons: it’s dark, human, and surprising. Do you ever try to predict what the writers have in store for you and the cast?
