When the door is closed, if you can see the hinge protruding then this is the side that the Pull-Side Device is installed on and the Push-Side Device is installed on the opposite side. If you Push the door away from you to open the door then this is the side that you will install the Push-Side Door Hinge Guard and the Pull-Side will be installed on the opposite side. If you Pull the door towards you to open the door then this is the side you will install the Pull-Side Door Hinge Guard and the Push-Side will be installed on the opposite side. The push-side and pull-side hinge guards are very different in design and manufacture and are not interchangeable.
