Whats the difference between a point spread pool and a confidence pool?
Point spread pools require members to pick a winning team based on the standard favorite/underdog point spread system. Confidence pools require members to pick a winner for each game that week, and assign a point value based on how confident they are in the outcome of the game. In a week in which 10 games are played, the pool member would pick the winner for each game, and then assign a value of 1-10 to each game based upon their confidence in the outcome. Each number must be used with no duplicates. Thus, the game that you think is a toss-up should be given the value of 1 point, and the game you feel is a lock should be given the value of 10, with the other games getting the other values. A running point total is kept through the course of the season, with the winner having the most total points.
