Whats the difference between a park model Canterbury Cabin and a HUD approved Canterbury Cabin Cottage?
Canterbury Cabins Park models are actually recreational vehicles consisting of 399 sq. ft. or less. They are registered with DMV and there is sales tax to be paid by the buyer at the time of sale, and annual DMV fees (just like your car). Canterbury Cabins Cottages are HUD approved manufactured homes that typically go on property tax roles. The dealer pays a dealer tax that is part of your purchase price, not added on as in the park models.
