Whats the difference between a “Move” and a “Copy”, as it pertains to Security?

0

(1) Moving: When a document is “moved” to another folder, the move will bring all the documents versions as well as its current Permission set. Scenario – if you move a document from a public folder to a private folder, the document will retain the public permission set. (2) Coping: When a document is “copied” from one folder into another folder, the copy only brings the documents current version; permission sets, older versions, renditions, etc.. are not copied. Scenario – if you copy a document from a private folder into a public folder, the document will pick up the permission set of the public folder. Only the current version of the document will be copied; if version 3.0 was copied, the new document will be version 1.
