Whats the difference between a Keelboat and a Dinghy?
Dinghy • Dinghys are two-person, light, planing hull, centerboard boats. • They are easy to handle in light to medium winds and give some speedy thrills when the breeze comes up. • Body weight is used to balence the boat against the wind. • The emphasis of dinghy classes is on boat-handling on all points of sail. • Everyone will learn to rig boats, skipper and crew, and learn to effeciently and safely handle the boat in winds up to 15 knots.
