Whats the difference between a General and a Dedicated trust account in WiSACWIS?

0

A Dedicated Account is for SSI benefits received in a lump sum to cover 6 months or more. This cannot be used toward the cost of care until SSA gives written permission. Once the letter is received, funds can be transferred to the General Account. Reimbursement funds are never drawn directly from a Dedicated account. The General Account is the trust account actually used to off-set the cost of care.
