Although there is a fine line between the two terms and many professionals regard themselves as both there is a little difference. The word designer implies a person with more credentials while the term decorator can be a professional designer, a sales person or someone in the field who helps consumers make decisions on decorating their homes. There are many famous and successful people who refer to themselves as ‘Decorators’.
