Whats the difference between a cyst and a fibroid?
A fibroid is a solid tumor containing mostly smooth muscle bound together by fibrous tissue commonly found within and around the uterus. A cyst is a fluid-filled pouch located on or in an ovary. Both are usually benign. Q: Is a golf-ball sized fibroid considered large or small? A: It could depend on the location of the fibroid and whether it is causing symptoms.
