Whats the difference between a clothesline and a lariat…?

A Clothesline is delivered by extending your arm straight out to the side and hitting your opponent across the chest (or neck) to knock him down, usually after a running start. A Clothesline is a striking move. A Lariat is delivered by bending the arm a little and “hooking” your opponent around the neck to force/shove him down, usually after a running start. A Lariat isn’t really a striking move, it’s more a takedown like a Bulldog, but can delivered with enough force to be used as a finisher. They look similar, and the effect is similar, but they are not applied the same.
