Whats the difference between a bunsen burner and a gas stove burner?
The bunsen burner has a flame holder with a geometry of design such that it concentrates the flame for a small container of glassware. Bunsen burners are meant to be small, and are their flame holders are simply a set of blunt solid bodies in the path of the air & fuel mixture used to hold the flame. As a result, it requires a lighter or matches to ignite the flame. The gas stove burner has a flame holder which is designed geometrically such that it spreads the flame out for a larger piece of cookware. Gas stove burners, in addition to the flame holder may also contain an electric sparker or tiny pilot flame such that the chef doesn’t need to fiddle with matches to light the fire.
bunsen burner is just a piece of metal that when hooked by a rubber hose to a gas outlet on top of a work station – will provide a flame in and of itself – it cannot provide fire ******** gas stove has the tank of gas – connecting lines and the burner – all in a neat carrying case ready for camping or hurricanes in Florida we lent our friend our gas stove (we had gas in our kitchen) in his all electric neighborhood – and he cooked 5 pots of coffee for neighbors before he made his own what a guy!
