Whats the difference between a blender and a food processor?
I do believe there is a difference between what we say in the UK and what the Americans say. A blender is the upright type that we use to make soup and is also called a liquidizer. A food processor is more squat (not as tall) and it mixes as well as blending ingredients as you would for pate and chicken kebabs. A food processor also usually has other attachments which grate and slice. A food processor does lots of things and is very useful but does not puree soups as well as a blender. A blender will also make fruit smoothies very well. I hope this answers your question.
a food processor is a food processor and a blender can be part of a food processor. a food processor can chop up vegetables into different shapes (julienne, diced etc) whereas a blender just.. blends! blenders can only turn things into liquid (thick or thin). you could google for more information but this is how i describe it.
