What’s the difference between a bead inventory item and a component?
Inventory items have ID’s and are raw materials. Components are part of a finished work. So ID 223 might be an onyx 4mm bead, which cost $4 for a strand of 100 beads. That’s an inventory item with a per-bead cost of 4 cents. When used in a finished work, the component record shows that a quantity of 20 of ID 223 was used, at a cost of 80 cents.
