Whats the difference between a bb gun and an airgun?
A BB gun is actually a type of airgun. It’s called a BB gun because it shoots round steel balls called BBs. Any gun that uses air or compressed gas to launch a projectile is an airgun, so a BB gun is an airgun but not all airguns are BB guns. There have been some airguns that launch projectiles by means of a spring or a rubber band, like a slingshot. These are also called airguns, even though they don’t exactly fit the description of a true airgun.
