Whats the difference between a Bachelors (Bachelor of Laws) degree and a Law degree?
In the US, an LLB or a bachelor’s of law degree was a degree they awarded before a doctorate (aka a JD) was required to practice law. An LLB was usually only a 5 year degree (4 years of undergrad and 1 year of law school). They stopped awarding LLB’s here after the 60’s. In the UK, it is the degree they award lawyers. But in the UK, they don’t require a doctorate degree.
