Whats The Difference Between 100,000 and 500,000 Volts?
A 100,000 volt stun gun can cause pain, muscle contractions, disorientation and loss of balance depending on how long direct contact is made. These accomplish the goal of repelling an attacker and escaping. However, a 100,000 volt stun gun may not completely take down an attacker and leave them immobilized. There is more effective take down power with stun guns over 300,000 volts. Without causing permanent harm you can immobilize an attacker for five to fifteen minutes with three to five seconds of direct contact.
