Whats the deep-sea fishing like?
The waters around Cabo San Lucas provide some of the finest fishing in the world. Due to the unique confluence of the Pacific and the Sea of Cortez, these waters are remarkably rich in marine life. Cabo has earned the title of Marlin Capital of the World for its outstanding populations of striped, black and blue marlin. Dorado (mahi-mahi), mackerel, tuna, sea bass, swordfish, snapper, wahoo and rooster fish are also abundant. There is always a species in season in Los Cabos. The type of fish you’ll encounter depends upon yearly water-temperature variations. Large international tournaments are held each fall. We believe in the conservation of billfish, and request that you release any you catch unless it’s your first, or you plan to eat it. ESSV will gladly arrange a private fishing charter for you and your party. See our Fishing in Cabo section for more information.
