Following hot on the heels of the Wii’s motion sensing technology, Microsoft are hoping to take this one better with their Xbox 360 Project Natal. Announced at last year’s E3 conference, this add-on accessory for the Xbox 360 is said to allow completely controller-free play with games, sensing movement and interpreting that as commands within the game. Xbox 360 Project Natal is said to be released around the end of 2010, and Microsoft are hoping that the machine will become an integral part of all existing Xbox consoles. They also state that this revolutionary technology will lengthen the shelf-life of the 360 considerably, and thatit is, for all intents and purposes, a next-gen accessory.
