Whats the deal with the nensha X-ray image Choe Yol gives to Sun-Ju?
It’s simple. This very same nensha X-ray image, which appears inside the eye in the cursed video. The symbol it contains is in fact the name Eun-Suh. The cursed vidoe’s eye scene itself is just the Korean version of the eye from the Ring (1998) cursed video, which contained the sada (chastity) kanji, first kanji of the name Sadako. The scene where Choe Yol gives the image to Sun-Ju was lifted straight out of the Ring novel, where Asakawa and Ryuji are searching for a woman with ESP powers from Izu-Oshima island among Miura Tetsuzu (he used to collect data of all people from Japan who claimed to possess ESP)’s files, and finally, they find Sadako’s file, with two such X-ray images, of the kanjis yama (mountain), first kanji of Yamamura, and sada (chastity), first kanji of Sadako.
