Whats the deal with Pre-existing Conditions?

0

A Pre-existing condition is defined as a disease or injury that occurred before your policy was issued. If you had prior coverage, it’s no big deal assuming the next Insurance Company takes you. If you had a lapse in coverage, the new Insurance Company can pre-exist (not cover) that “condition” in California for 6 months. The rule of thumb is this: Insurance Companies don’t cover burning buildings. If you have a condition, they may just rate you UP, thereby charge you more money for the coverage. If you answer yes to any of the following questions, you may not qualify for Individual or Family Health Insurance.
