Whats the deal with Balance Druids and cloth?
A-2.3) If you’re a Druid of any stripe and you open your skills tab, you’ll see under your “Armor Proficiencies” section an entry for “Cloth” and one for “Leather”. This means that, theoretically, at least half the armor we have access to in our 8 main slots will be cloth. Additionally, the base armor (which I rank as the second most important Survivability stat) of leather items is higher in each of these slots than that afforded by cloth armor. Of the primary offensive caster class/specs in the game, Mages, Warlocks, and Shadow/Disc Priests are limited to solely cloth, while Balance Druids, Elemental Shaman, and Paladins have access to additional armor types. There–those are the facts. Everything else is opinion.
