There’s a Daycare Center south of Cerulean City, and north of Saffron City. If you decide to leave your Pokemon with them, your Pokemon will gain one EXP point for every step you take. You’ll pay a starting fee of $100, plus an extra $100 for each level your Pokemon grows.
