Whats the contention ratio of the service?
Contention ratio is a way of measuring the potential speed limit on a network connection due to the number of users that share the same bandwidth. This measure is commonly used for ADSL services. Net Probity monitors the total utilisation of the network and adjusts the bandwidth available to ensure that the overall experience is satisfactory. Because of this we don’t feel that quoting a contention ratio is a useful way of measuring the actual speed which subscribers experience.
