Whats the consultative process that goes into compiling this review?
We adopted a very participatory approach, because we wanted to make sure that we were going to publish and cover areas of interest for our readers. We did not want to come up with just another publication. So the first round of consultation was among the people who were going to co-publish it — and that’s IDRC (Canada’s International Development Research Centre), APDIP (UNDP’s Asia Pacific Development Information Programme) as well as UNESCO Orbicom. After that, we did sort of an indirect consultation process where we reviewed the literature to see what the other specialists in the field, our colleagues have written and based on that, we came up with a framework which we then shared with numerous potential readers of the publication. Then we got on board the contributors of the Digital Review and asked for their guidance. These are the contributing authors, and they did a draft and we would have one authors’ meeting for every edition, and during that authors’ meeting we are again very
