Whats the Consensus on Job Postings?
Given the geographic distribution of the readership I’d’ve thought such postings were of interest to very few people (even excluding the Rest of The World, the USA is *vast*). That aside, SHORT postings which mention Informix by name don’t seem to attract much adverse reaction. Jack Parker (jparker@hpbs3645.boi.hp.com) clarifies: In general it is ok to post job announcements or requests for candidates to fill a position in this group. After all at any given time some small percentage of us are seeking employment elsewhere. At the same time there are quite a few people who are not looking for work who find such posts annoying, especially since they receive all posts to this group through their mailbox and have no desire to pay extra to download them.
