Whats the company name that embedded linux?
Linux was first created in 1991 by Mr. Linus Torvalds, and when he released it into the net many developers quickly joined the project. Until today Linux is still maintained by Mr. Torvalds and thousands of other contributors. Linux software is also available for almost any task imaginable, and most of it is also community-based. And it’s all free!! There is no commercial company behind Linux, it is maintained by a community of users and developers. Millions of users are using it. Many commercial companies also contribute to Linux (notably Intel, IBM, Novell, RedHad…), and many more companies use Linux as a standard in their business. Linux can be found embedded in many products such as VCRs, switches and routers, some cell phones and many many more examples… But I assume you didn’t want to ask about this kind of embedding, right?
