Whats the common thread of all Kessler Collection hotels?
Extraordinary detail, art, music would be the three major characteristics that would be common to our properties. You can walk into one of our properties — even though they have totally different personalities — and say, ‘I’m sure this is a Kessler property.’ It’s that distinctive. They tend to be colorful. The extraordinary, high detail has a lot of elements. It has to do with contrast in materials, fabrics, colors, quality, handmade items that go in, just like the hotel we just completed in Ashville. The lobby is all hand-carved Gothic paneling that was purchased out of Bali. Your signature is the Grand Bohemian Gallery for fine art. How did you decide that it would be a defining feature of most your properties? Because nobody else was doing it on a consistent basis. I thought that would really set us apart.
