Whats the cheapest flight from USA to Istanbul?
In my experience, booking through Turkish Air online through a Turkish IP address yield less expensive flights. If you are visiting someone in Turkey, ask them to go to the TA site and look up costs. They can book it in your name with your credit card. My boyfriend and I flew home for Christmas and our trip from Ankara to NYC via Istanbul was $1600 US roundtrip for both. For us to then get to Florida it was $900 round trip for both. Crazy, right? Well, obviously Christmas isn’t a holiday in Turkey so I am assuming that is why the prices weren’t jacked up. We only booked a month in advance. Also, TA is much more comfortable and accommodating than the US companies. The meals are good (you get 3) and the drinks are free. You also get a ridiculous variety of meals to choose from if you do it online in advance. I got the “Raw Vegetarian” meal and it was delicious. The movies are free on TA also. Hope this helps!
