The best thing to do is to take a cab from JFK to the nearest subway line, which is the “A”Train which makes a stop at the JFK Howard Beach Station. There might be a shuttle bus which runs from the terminals to this station as well, you’d have to check at the airport. The A Train will run all the way into Manhattan and makes a stop at 96th Street on the west side of Central Park. If you want the east side of Central Park change trains at the Bway-Nassau Street station for the 4,5,6 train which will also stop at 96 Street, but then you’d have to walk a Block west on 96.
