What’s the catch?
There is no catch! Using Charity Blast is a win-win-win for organizations, for retailers, and for our company. Retailers want your business and offer incentives through Charity Blast so that you will shop online at their stores. As your supporters shop, a percentage of every sale is given to your organization (as indicated next to every ad on your shopping page), and a percentage of every purchase is also given to Charity Blast for our services.
The catch is that Windows 95 and 98 do not support Unicode APIs. This is due to their 16-bit Windows heritage. So if you call the Unicode APIs directly, you will lose the ability to run on Windows 9x. The way around this is to make a program that can be compiled for either Unicode or ANSI without loss of functionality. You could use a lot of conditional code; fortunately, much of it is done for you.
The problem with DSL is that it’s not available in all areas. You may or may not be able to get DSL service. The best thing to do is call Microserv. We will be able to check your phone line(s) to verify if you can get DSL, and we can place the order for you. Although you can order DSL line service directly from Qwest, it is better to let Microserv place the order for you. This will ensure that you receive the correct service, and that Qwest doesn’t “accidently” connect you to a lower quality ISP.
