Whats the biggest tire that I can install without a lift?
(copied from section 4.3, old FAQ) You can fit tires up to 31×10.5 inches on a stock TJ without buying a lift kit. The stock YJ can only fit tires up to 30×9.5 inches. When you put larger tires than stock on a vehicle, you’ll be slowing the engine down and losing some power. This may be a concern if you are thinking about putting 31″ tires on a 4 cylinder TJ, but I have a friend who has done this and doesn’t worry about it too much.
