According to http://www.montauksportfishing.com/94edit.htm – The largest fish of any kind ever caught on rod and reel was caught here in Montauk. It happens to be on the front page of this issue. The 3500 pound white shark caught by Captain Don Braddick on Captain Frank Mundus’s Cricket II, may not be in the International Game Fishing Association’s record book, for technical reasons, but there is no denying that it is the most spectacular catch made in the annals of sportfishing.
