Think long term. You might want to use a larger format camera later, so it makes sense to buy that capability now. • Whats the biggest print you want to make? If you want to do a lot of cropping, get an enlarger that will handle maximum-sized prints. • Do you want to print color, black & white, or both? If you are interested in color printing, a an enlarger with a diffusion dichroic head is a must. Even for black and white, it may be worth the difference. • Whats your budget range?
