Whats the big deal about Bobcat Build?
Bobcat Build is a Texas State tradition! Our mission is to connect the Texas State students with San Marcos residents and build a stronger sense of community. April 9th,2011 will be our 9th year, and the 3rd year the event is completely student-run! The event begins at the kickoff in the East Stadium Lot at 8:30 am, and we have a band, VIP speakers, free breakfast, water and t-shirts for all participants to enjoy! After the kick-off ends, usually around 9:30, we send all the volunteers to their job sites to work from 10am-2pm. A solid 4 hours of work leaves Bobcats exhausted and ready for the river, and makes a HUGE difference in the lives of the residents we can help.
