Whats the big deal about a Movado watch? What makes them so special?
Status. More than it being a superior timepiece, although I’m sure it is, it sends the message to others that you are wealthy and successful. It validates people’s existance, especially when they have no intelligence, humor, or personality with which to gain notice. For utility’s purpose, Timex works just as well as Movado, and costs less, even if you have to replace it every year (which you likely won’t).
