Whats the better neighborhood, Ballard or Queen Anne?
It’s a close call. I think Queen Anne has a slight edge over Ballard. Lower Queen Anne offers a decent urban life. If you want to keep a bit low key, Queen Anne Hill has a stronger neighborhood feel, while still offers a decent range of restaurants and such. My sense is people also have a stronger sense of community. Last but not the least, Queen Anne is simply more central in location so it’s just more convenient to get to anywhere else. However, if you carve for music scene, Ballard definitely has more to offer. Furthermore, it’s generally more affordable.
