What’s the best white girl mainstream pop song/video of the year?
Bear in mind that I’m not concerned with the most successful, or the one that best fits the terms above. I’m thinking about which one of these three amazing videos is the BEST (to me). . Ke$ha “TiK-ToK” First, we have our underdog entry, the new performer Ke$ha, heard already by millions as the girl who sings the hook (uncredited on our shores) to the song “Right Round” by Flo Rida. Ke$ha blew my brains out with her track “Backstabber” over the winter. It’s definitely one of my favorite songs of the year: In fact, “Backstabber” crushes the rest of these songs so hard, it would cancel out the need for this post…if there was an accompanying video. But Ke$ha didn’t make a video until this one below – “TiK ToK.” This was one of the few songs, along with “Goth Star” by PicturePlane and “Bicycle” by Memory Tapes, that got me through a really trying summer.
