Whats the best way to wash and clean my pressure cooker?
Wash the cooker by hand; use soap & water, plastic scrubbers if needed (no Brillo, or S.O.S. pads), and a nonabrasive cleaner such as Bon Ami. The pot may be placed in dishwasher. Clean the outside with a stainless steel cleaner (Barkeepers Friend is good) or silver polish to restore the shine and luster. Silicone or plastic gaskets should not be oiled. Rubber gaskets are a bit thicket and sometimes a little oil may make it easier to turn and lock the lid in place. When not in daily use store your gasket flat on top of the inverted lid.
