Whats the best way to travel?
Many backpackers use the relatively cheap long-distance coaches, e.g. Greyhound, Mccaffertys or Oz Experience. We do not recommend any participants to hitchhike! You can join other travellers to ride-share. Most youth hostels have a blackboard displaying notes by travellers offering a shared ride. They will take other travellers with them in return for a contribution to fuel costs. Many participants buy themselves a car, which they then sell at the end of their stay.
