Whats the best way to sterilise pond equipment?

Bleach is the only way to kill the organizsms that live in the pond and on the equipment. Soak your gear in a bleach solution and run the bleach solution through your filters but DO NOT let it come into contact with your fish or the pond water itself, it iwll kill them. Did you check your water paramenters, nitrates, nitrites & ammonia or PH, that could have been the problem. You might have had the pond overstocked and there could have been a lack of oxygen. There are MANY things that could have gone wrong. But to disinfect everything you will need to clean it with bleach. 1/4 bleach to 3/4 water. It is also recommended to do a 10% water change often. Try going to pond forums for more info such as www.bonniesplants.
