Whats the best way to prepare for studying law at University?
As noted above, being aware of what is going on in this country, in Europe and in the world is the best preparation of engaging with legal study. There are a number of good books about legal study that can be obtained from any good bookseller. However in addition to reading about the law and social and political issues, we also recommend that you spend a bit of time, if you can, with lawyers or in legal surroundings. Visit a local court and sit in the public gallery. If you can do so arrange to spend a week or so with a local firm of solicitors or in a set of barristers chambers to see how law works in reality.
