To avoid crushing your clothes, Tosca suggests to pack all of your heavy items first, at the bottom of your case. E.g. shoes, books and magazines. Then pack items that will crease easily first so that the weight of other garments will hold them in place. Pack clothes of similar nature together, such as T-shirts and jumpers, by folding or even rolling them up to avoid crease marks. To avoid sharp creases on items such as jackets and trousers try to pack softer clothes inside them. Be wary when packing items with sharp edges, such as clothes hangers or shoes with big heels. Ensure they are not protruding into the side of the suitcase when packing. The handling of luggage can be quite rough so try to avoid any breakages. Toiletries are recommended to be packed inside wetpacks or beauty cases to avoid any leakages onto clothing.
