Whats the best way to make sure I hear a tornado watch or warning?
While almost all radio and television stations do a good job of broadcasting watches and warnings, the best way to make sure you hear them is to have a weather radio that sounds an alarm, even when it’s not turned on, when a watch or warning is issued, not only for tornadoes but for any kind of dangerous weather. Such “tone alert” weather radios are available at most stores that sell radios and they should cost less than $30 or so.
