There are many ways to light briquets. If you prefer to stay with the all-natural lighting method, we recommend using a well ventilated charcoal chimney. Pour in the charcoal, place a couple of sheets of crumpled newspaper at the bottom and then light the newspaper. Place lit chimney on non-flammable surface. The briquets will be ready to pour out in about 10–15 minutes or shortly after the flame reaches the top of the chimney. The coals on top of the chimney should be just partially covered in ash.
