Whats the best way to learn German?
Your grandfather will be of help, if it comes to practicing german. But for learning gramar I don’t think he will be much help. I suppose he’s a native speaker of german like I am and the problem with us natives is, that we can tell you what is right and what is wrong and even help you with pronounciation, but we really can’t explain you why you have to use this form and not the other. The above is invalid if someone is language teacher of course. So the optimal aproach for you would be taking classes or using a computer program combined with some assistance of your grandfather.
