Take it to a local jeweler for this. I am sure they can do something with it. Don’t take it to a fancier shop or a name brand chain as they will over charge you for sure. Like a few of the other people that have answered this question, I would be very weary of giving her an engagement ring made out of a button. Maybe drop hints at it first to see if she would be interested in it first before you spend money on getting it done. You could always take that button you bought and make it into a broach or something else. Just an idea though.
