An air compressor on a low setting is better than canned air, but if you don’t have access to one, canned air works fine. Make sure your PC is unplugged and the CMOS battery (it’s located on your motherboard and will look like a large silver watch battery) is pulled out before you do anything. For dust alone, all you really need to do is blow it out. Dirt and grime sometimes build up in there, too, though, and this is even worse than dust for components. To clean that out you’ll need the highest concentration of isopropyl alcohol that you can get… 90% or more is best, but 70% will do if you can’t find anything higher (just don’t go below 70%). Other than that you’ll need tightly wrapped Q tips… dip the Q tips in the alcohol and go to work gently cleaning the dirt/grime off, making sure you switch Q tips often and don’t leave bits of cotton behind (this is why you want tightly wrapped Q tips as they don’t tear up nearly as fast as more loosely wrapped ones and are less likely to lea
